Spring 2008 New Media

The final bit

First up I apologise for not being able to get there for the last session - the storm has caused problems with the trains to and from mid Kent and although I tried a few stations none could get me to you.

My plan for the last session was simple. What did it mean to you? What will you take away from our time together? As part of the assessible part of the course you must make a blog posting reflecting on the whole process of developing your project and the wider issues we've covered each week. Look at things which might have changed your views and things which supported them. To get good marks this will be more than 50 words - demonstrate that you understand all the stuff about reflection that we discussed early in the course. I know that some of you also have some blog posts stored as drafts - good plan to get them polished and posted too.

My email address is at the bottom of the project brief so please mail me if you have any queries - the project wiki and blogs should be completed by this Friday. It's been good working with you - good luck in whatever you decide to do after graduation.

This is the group wiki - we'll be doing some work in this area and also using it for communication.

This first table contains links to each group member's wiki page and from there to their blog and their group wiki.

The machine is us/using us

This is a YouTube machinima looking at how the evolution of the web is leading to shifts in how we use it. It's also a carefully crafted piece of art work and those interested in broadcasting might consider how it was produced.
