Week 1

Page history last edited by Nigel Gibson 1 yr ago

NogbadWe started by discussing the general rules about respect and not talking/typing over each other. Everyone got a printed copy of the project brief and I also showed you where to find a copy online (http://lcc.nogbad.co.uk).

I hope I made it clear that if you have any problems or questions you should raise them with me as we go along - telling me that you don't understand what we are aiming for just as we hit the cut-off simply won't work - you'll fail the module.

I touched on blogging and wikis in general terms and showed you some blogs:

Some blogs
http://nogoodreason.typepad.co.uk/ Martin Weller is the professor of Educational Technology at the Open University
http://memex.naughtons.org/ John Naughton - Journalist, author and professor for the public understanding of technology
http://blogs.open.ac.uk/Maths/ajh59/ Tony Hurst - techy
http://dig.csail.mit.edu/breadcrumbs/blog/4 Tim Berners-Lee
http://ng2.blogspot.com Mine

Finally we set up everyone with a wiki page and a blog. I asked that everyone put a link to their blog on the wiki page. Here endeth the first lesson :-)
